These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JustChess, including the JustChess website, mobile application, chess games, matchmaking, ratings, player profiles, and related services.

1. WHO WE ARE

JustChess is operated by EU Labs Inc, a company registered in the State of Delaware.

In these Terms, “JustChess,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to EU Labs Inc.

The “Service” means the JustChess website, mobile application, chess games, matchmaking, ratings, profiles, and related features.

2.

Eligibility

You must be at least the minimum age required by applicable law to create a JustChess account.

If you are not legally old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

By using JustChess, you confirm that:

  • You meet the applicable minimum-age requirement.
  • You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • You are not prohibited by law from using the Service.

We may restrict, suspend, or close an account if we reasonably believe these requirements have not been met.

3.

Your Account

You may need to create an account to use certain JustChess features.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and to keep that information updated.

JustChess uses real-name player profiles. Your real name and Elo rating may be visible to other JustChess players, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

You must not:

  • Create an account using another person’s identity.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Provide false or misleading account information.
  • Sell, rent, transfer, or share your account.
  • Create additional accounts to avoid restrictions or manipulate ratings.
  • Allow another person to play through your account.

You are responsible for protecting your password, verification codes, and other account credentials.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless that activity resulted from a security failure caused by JustChess.

Contact support@eulabs.us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

We may request reasonable information to confirm your identity, protect your account, investigate suspicious activity, or process an account-related request.

4.

The JustChess Service

JustChess provides an online platform where players can participate in chess games, use matchmaking features, maintain player profiles, and receive platform ratings.

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary to:

  • Improve the Service.
  • Maintain security and reliability.
  • Prevent cheating, fraud, or abuse.
  • Address technical problems.
  • Comply with legal requirements.
  • Respond to changes affecting our operations.

We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or that JustChess will operate without interruptions, delays, or errors.

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, updates, security reviews, or emergency repairs.

5.

Chess Games and Ratings

JustChess may calculate and display an Elo rating or another skill rating based on your game results and activity.

Ratings are estimates produced by the JustChess rating system.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, a JustChess rating is specific to our platform and is not an official title or rating issued by a national or international chess federation.

We may correct or adjust ratings, rankings, game results, or account records when reasonably necessary to address:

  • Calculation errors.
  • Technical failures.
  • Invalid or duplicate games.
  • Cheating or unauthorized assistance.
  • Rating manipulation.
  • Fraudulent activity.
  • Violations of these Terms.

Internet interruptions, device failures, application crashes, or disconnections may affect games.

We may not always be able to restore a game, reverse a result, or adjust a rating after a technical issue.

6.

Fair Play

You must play fairly and make your own decisions during games.Unless a specific game mode expressly permits it, you must not use or receive assistance from:

  • Chess engines.
  • Artificial intelligence tools.
  • Analysis software.
  • Opening or endgame databases.
  • Books, notes, or written materials.
  • Other players or third parties.
  • External devices or automated systems.
  • Real-time move recommendations.

You must not engage in:

  • Cheating.
  • Collusion between players.
  • Rating manipulation.
  • Intentionally losing games to reduce your rating.
  • Rating boosting.
  • Arranging predetermined results.
  • Playing both sides of a game.
  • Allowing another person to play through your account.
  • Using multiple accounts to influence results or ratings.
  • Exploiting technical errors to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Helping another player violate our fair-play rules.

We may use gameplay information, account activity, statistical analysis, player reports, and other relevant signals to investigate possible fair-play violations.

If we reasonably determine that a fair-play violation occurred, we may cancel games, remove results, adjust ratings, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently close accounts.

7.

Acceptable Use

You must use JustChess lawfully and respectfully.

You must not use the Service to:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse another person.
  • Promote hatred, discrimination, violence, or illegal activity.
  • Publish unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or seriously offensive content.
  • Send spam, scams, fraudulent messages, or unwanted promotions.
  • Collect another person’s information without permission.
  • Share another person’s private or confidential information.
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code.
  • Attempt to access accounts, systems, or information without authorization.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or performance of JustChess.
  • Bypass account restrictions, security measures, or technical controls.
  • Scrape, crawl, copy, or extract data using unauthorized automated tools.
  • Reverse engineer the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Use JustChess to arrange or facilitate unlawful gambling or wagering.
  • Violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
  • Encourage or assist another person in violating these Terms.

You must not use bots, scripts, automation, or unofficial software to access or interact with JustChess unless we have provided written permission.

8.

Player Content and Communications

You may be able to submit profile information, messages, reports, feedback, support requests, or other content through JustChess.

You retain any ownership rights you have in the content you submit.

You give JustChess a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit, and display your content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Operate the Service.
  • Display information you choose to make public.
  • Provide requested features.
  • Investigate reports and protect players
  • Enforce these Terms.
  • Maintain security.
  • Improve the Service.
  • Comply with applicable law.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your content.

You must not submit content that violates the law, these Terms, or another person’s rights.We may remove or restrict content when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates a security risk, infringes another person’s rights, or must be restricted to comply with applicable law.

9.

Game Records

JustChess may create and retain records of games played through the Service.

These records may include moves, timestamps, results, ratings, connection events, and other information needed to operate the Service.

We may store, display, process, and analyze game records to:

  • Provide game history and related player features.
  • Calculate ratings.
  • Review fair-play concerns.
  • Detect technical problems.
  • Maintain service security.
  • Improve gameplay and matchmaking.
  • Produce anonymous or aggregated statistics.We do not claim ownership of the individual chess moves you make.

The JustChess software, design, databases, systems, graphics, branding, and platform features remain owned by us or our licensors.

10.

Reporting Other Players

You may report suspected cheating, harassment, abuse, or other misconduct.

Reports must be submitted honestly and in good faith.

You must not knowingly submit false, misleading, retaliatory, or abusive reports.

We may review reports, but we do not guarantee that every report will result in a warning, suspension, rating adjustment, or other action.

For privacy and security reasons, we may not disclose all information about an investigation or action taken against another player.

11.

Intellectual Property

JustChess and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including its:

  • Software and source code.
  • Designs and interfaces.
  • Graphics and visual elements.
  • Logos and branding.
  • Text and original content.
  • Databases and technical systems.
  • Matchmaking and rating systems.
  • Security and fair-play tools.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use JustChess for its intended purpose.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of JustChess or any of our intellectual property to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, publish, or commercially exploit any part of JustChess without our prior written permission, except where applicable law permits it.

You may not use the JustChess name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, approval, or affiliation without our written permission.

12.

Feedback

You may choose to send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about JustChess.

You agree that we may use this feedback to develop, operate, and improve the Service without payment or obligation to you.

13.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use JustChess.By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.

14.

Third-Party Services

JustChess may rely on third-party providers for services such as hosting, authentication, security, email delivery, application distribution, data storage, or technical diagnostics.

The Service may also contain links to third-party websites or services.We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their independent content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices.

Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms and policies provided by that third party.

When you download JustChess through an application store, your use of that store may also be governed by the store provider’s terms.

15.

Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using JustChess at any time.

You may request deletion of your account through the account settings, where available, or by contacting support@eulabs.us.

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate your account if we reasonably believe that:

  • You violated these Terms.
  • You cheated or manipulated ratings.
  • You created a security or legal risk.
  • Your account was used fraudulently.
  • Your activity harmed JustChess or another player.
  • We are required to act by law or valid legal process.
  • Continued access could compromise the integrity of the Service.

An account restriction may be temporary or permanent.

We may also remove invalid games, correct ratings, restrict matchmaking, remove content, or limit specific features.

You may request a review of an account decision by contacting support@eulabs.us and providing your account information and an explanation of why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.We may refuse repeated, abusive, fraudulent, or substantially identical requests.

After account termination, provisions that are intended to continue will remain effective, including provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, disputes, and legal obligations.

16.

Service Availability

We work to provide a reliable Service, but we do not guarantee that JustChess will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

The Service may be affected by:

  • Maintenance and updates.
  • Internet or network failures.
  • Device compatibility issues.
  • Cyberattacks or security incidents.
  • Third-party service failures.
  • Events beyond our reasonable control.We may impose reasonable technical limits to protect performance, prevent abuse, or comply with legal requirements.

17.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JustChess is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Every technical issue will be corrected.
  • Matchmaking will always produce evenly matched games.
  • Ratings will always perfectly represent a player’s ability.
  • Fair-play systems will detect every violation.
  • Every report or dispute will be resolved in a player’s preferred way.
  • Information available through the Service will always be complete or current.Your use of JustChess is at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, consumer protections, or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

18.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JustChess and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, business, or opportunity.
  • Loss of data.
  • Loss of reputation or goodwill.
  • Rating changes or loss of ranking.
  • Interrupted, delayed, or cancelled games.
  • Conduct or content provided by another player.
  • Unauthorized access caused by your failure to protect your credentials.
  • Events outside our reasonable control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid directly to JustChess during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • $100.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

19.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to compensate and protect JustChess from reasonable claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses resulting from:

  • Your unlawful use of the Service.
  • Your material violation of these Terms.
  • Content you submit that infringes another person’s rights.
  • Fraud, intentional misconduct, or misuse of your account.

This section does not require you to compensate JustChess for losses caused by our own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach of these Terms.

20.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

  • Changes to JustChess.
  • New or modified features.
  • Security or operational requirements.
  • Changes in applicable law.
  • Changes to our business or technical practices.

The updated Terms will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date.

If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice through the website, application, email, or another appropriate method.

Where required by law, we will request your consent before updated Terms become effective.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using JustChess and may request deletion of your account.

21.

Disputes

Before starting formal legal proceedings, you and JustChess agree to make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute informally.

To raise a dispute, contact support@eulabs.us and include:

  • Your name and account information.
  • A description of the issue.
  • The outcome you are requesting.

Nothing in these Terms removes any consumer rights or legal protections that cannot be waived under applicable law.

22.

General Terms

Entire Agreement

These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and JustChess concerning the Service, unless additional terms are provided for a specific feature.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The invalid provision will be interpreted or modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

No Partnership

These Terms do not create an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, or joint-venture relationship between you and JustChess.

Section headings are provided for convenience and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
